I usually link to the previous discussions, because most of the times there is an important comment in HN.

There is an important detail in this case. This is a blog of someone with a chemical degree, and usually the articles are very interesting and have a lot of technical details. I'm sure that this post has a new point of view of the subject.

The problem is that usually the same new is submitted from different newspapers, but they only cut&paste the press release and mess with some names and technical details, but they have essentially the same information or less. I guess that this is different.
