I think that's the eventual plan, but Phones will still have their separate OS for now, right? Unless they announced something differently today...


Phones will continue to have a separate OS, but as both are branded Metro, I would hazard most users wouldn't be aware of there being any difference. One is just on a smaller screen and doesn't come with the desktop fallback.

Metro will also be appearing on 360 soon.


Really? I'd heard the opposite - Windows Phone 8 will _be_ Windows 8. Has anything been said at Build to the contrary?
