I understand from this review http://goo.gl/7IlM2 [nzmac.com] of Office 2011, that previous versions came with a "Paste as quotation" option, though this has now been deprecated. I don't use HTML but prefer plain text authoring, and there appears to be no way to quote text. Google is returning little information, other than a few people asking the same question.
