I wouldn't worry. It's not changed a single thing for us. YC is just the lamborghini. We are still going to get exactly where we need to go in our trusty wagon, we just might of got their quicker in the Lambo.
Ultimately, I don't think anything should change for anyone who got rejected.
We received our rejection and very disappointed. We have a disruptive idea and our demo got raving feedback from domain experts. Will post demo here soon.
Every new website/application these days needs some level of gamification to attract and retain users and grow fast. Best if it is inherently built into the actual product. Anybody disagree?
Don't think so. YC model is biased towards college students or recent grads. Most of these folks we are talking are already working. They end up moonlighting than going for YC.
It is not that some one will start working on it without knowing what we are doing. We want to hear from hackers who are interested so that we can further discuss it.
I love YC, been to last Startup School, But hate to discuss our secrets openly here.
