Please level out the mic levels using a program such as levelator (http://www.conversationsnetwork.org/levelator). I was listening to the show with headphones and some of the laughing and the "oh god" at the end really hurt :(

They could run the site on PyPy as opposed to the CPython interpreter. Postgres and Django are well supported.

I would feel hard pressed to sell PostGres with PyPy as well supported at the moment.

Django maybe, purely because it doesn't depend on too many C Libs.

Tornado has Websocket handling built in. It's very easy to use.
